North Korean Christians
Dictator Kim Jong Il is portrayed as a god to the people of North Korea, even though millions starve due to his policies. I Was Hungry provides food for North Korean followers of Christ...all of whom are enemies of the state.

North Korean Christians

North Korea is one of the most difficult places on earth to live. This relatively small nation about the size of Mississippi is home to twenty-three million people, and boasts of having the fifth largest army in the world (one million troops) and nuclear weapons. While an incredibly disproportionate amount of money is allocated to defending itself against “hostile nations,” as many as three million North Koreans have died from starvation in the past ten years living in Kim Jung-Il's communist utopia.

Partnering with U.S. and international ministries, I Was Hungry has been helping purchase tons of rice and corn that reaches starving Christians in North Korea (although the means cannot be disclosed due to security reasons). This overwhelming need presents us with an opportunity to show our love for Jesus, who will one day say to the sheep on His right hand, “I was hungry, and you fed Me.
